Review on 🚘 Luber-finer CAF1887P Cabin Air Filter - Enhanced SEO-friendly Product Name by Curtis Richardson

Rugged, well-made filter

This filter is a durable filter with a frame that's stiff enough not to curl or clump. It fits perfectly in the interior fairing of my 2011 Santa Fe. The thickness of the material is just right in my opinion. Not too thick but not too thin to let solids through. It is possible to make the filter too tight, restricting airflow and stressing the fan motor, which could cause a fire. It doesn't contain charcoal to reduce smell, but as long as you don't park under a tree or two and change them regularly, it's not a problem. Tree debris that accumulates on vehicle wiper hoods rots, creating compost, mold and odors. You breathe these in despite the filter and shorten the service life of the filter. As a technician, I keep seeing cars with tree debris on the windshield wipers. These deposits, in turn, contaminate the cabin air filter and can attract insects and mold. It's best to change the cabin air filter twice a year, or more often if you live on tree-lined streets or dusty areas.
