I bought two sets of white marble coasters. They were boxed, wrapped in bubble wrap and then placed in a Revain box with extra padding. All 12 coasters arrived in perfect condition. This is exactly the model I was looking for - round white marble with gray veins, polished finish, cork bottom and rounded sides/edges. I bought the exact same ones over twenty years ago and we use them all the time. They are elegant, easy to clean, match the marble surrounding my fireplace, have enough weight to stay in place and still look new. While I wouldn't call them absorbent, in the 20-25 years I've had others I wouldn't say this was a violator. And my marble coasters outlasted several sets of "absorbent stone" coasters I used in another room. Absorbent stone coasters were stained, difficult to clean, and more prone to breakage.
