Was looking for shoes to replace my Adidas which were very comfortable due to my plantar fasciitis. I would buy another pair of Adidas but they didn't make the same model so I couldn't be sure if they would be the same, if any. After much searching, I found that it was almost impossible to find shoes to try on in my size (10D). I checked out New Balance, tried some good ones that didn't quite work for me, and then I saw a pop-up ad for Skechers GoWalk. I meant Skechers are shoes for kids but after reading the description I figured they might have options. It just so happened, the same day or day after I went to academy and found a pair that was close enough to my height (10.5). As soon as I tried them on, I knew what they were almost immediately. A larger size also made sense for me at the time as my toes would be less cramped. I bought them and then a few more from Revain. They were the same, just a different color and just as good as the first pair. I would have bought another pair through the academy but my width was out of stock. Now that I know what shoes work, ordering from Revain is a good option, except they cost $5 more than the Academy. But if they're not available, then it doesn't matter. A request to shoe manufacturers and retailers: put an end to the variety of shoes and have the most common sizes in stock to try on.
