These shoes certainly impressed our son. He was very excited to have fun with them and couldn't wait to take them to school. They offer great support, but as these are high-top shoes, getting them on and off can be a challenge for a 7-year-old. If you have the budget, I would suggest buying a second pair of shoes that your child can quickly slip into in an emergency; Otherwise, these pads will remain on the child's feet throughout the house to avoid removing/putting them on.
