Review on Dual Electronics LU53PB Performance Bookshelf by Kelly Henderson

Bought them as a gift for my son in October, installed them on his patio at the end of November, played music 4-5 times in the last few weeks and now they all stop working. Full distortion from both speakers. The first few times I used them they worked and sounded ok but overall the sound quality is very poor but I wasn't expecting too much as these are budget speakers. Too much treble from the tweeter and mids and poor bass from the woofer, which is what I expected from a budget speaker. I ran them on a Pioneer receiver at 35 watts per channel which sounds great on other speaker sets I have. I could live with these duals and be happy for the price - you get what you pay for and that's exactly what I expected. However, the fact that they are now completely distorted after two weeks of use is extremely annoying. USE FOR TWO WEEKS AND NO LONGER FUNCTIONAL. And I'm outside the return window, so I'm stuck with them. I would not recommend buying these speakers.
