In general, I believe that Canon designed a line of inexpensive optics for full-frame cameras that have an EF mount and an aperture ratio of 4 or higher. While shooting in natural environments with lots of light, the image quality produced by this lens is identical to that of the EF-S equivalents. You need to remember that this is just beginner's optics and treat it as such. The aperture of more advanced lenses is no greater than f/2.8 (not counting those that aren't designated as L). After all, this 70-200 might just as easily be replaced with an 18-135 or a 55-250, all of which offer a greater zoom range. When viewed via the aperture, they are completely black. It was given to me by a buddy, and I ended up using it on my camera. There is not a stub in the room, which is a significant detriment; f is not very strong. If you are switching from a whale 18-135, you will be spending extra money for nothing if you do not save up for at least a 70-200 f/2,8 usm lens. I would advise everyone to do so. I do not in any way recommend analogs provided by third parties. After all, according to what people say, the only thing that can be better than Canon is the new Canon. Pick, pals.
