If you're reading this review, you're almost certainly familiar with the Rode Wireless Go. This is a comparable replacement for a fraction of the cost. I am very impressed with the packaging and the original sound quality! The device is instantly paired, so all you have to do is charge it up with the included 2-wire USB-C cable (very nice!) and you're on your way. The sound from both the internal mic and the included lavalier mic is decent, but the lavalier mic is better at canceling out ambient noise. In general, I only have 2 complaints about the device! Receiver volume is a bit low. Even at maximum gain, the microphone input was set at over 80%. However, post-amplification revealed no unwanted hum or noise, so the amps appear to be of decent quality! My final complaint is with the range, which only seems to work on line of sight and disappears pretty quickly over 25-50 feet from the camera. All in all a very clean, complete and compact package that will be ideal for most users. Lavalier!
