It could have been an accident but mine was dead on arrival. My power supply is powerful enough to power anything plugged into it five times more, but I didn't get any zero voltage on either rail of this source. I'll update as soon as a replacement arrives and I can test if it works. Update: I just received my second block. This one worked a little better, but still not enough to be considered "working". The blue LED flashed very briefly before going out. Testing the pin voltage didn't show a 5V output and the 12V output varies between 7.5V and 9.9V depending on the mood when I plug it in. I won't try the third one.
