This lock is small, simple and therefore ideal for luggage. I actually bought it to use with a Pelican 1170 carrying case. I bought the bag to use as a holdall for my pistol and needed a lock for it. However, I know this suitcase will be opened multiple times during travel, so I wanted a TSA-approved lock. This lock is perfect and serves its purpose. Of course someone can pick or cut through the lock with less effort than, say, a large master lock, but that's true of any luggage lock. Changing the combination on this lock is very easy. After a quick look at the included instructions, I changed the combination to something more memorable and was good to go. My only complaint is that this lock doesn't have that tactile "lock" feel. There is no click/click or other indication that it is locked other than it not reopening. If it feels like it's securely attached to me that would be a 5 star rating. However, I am very happy with it. It's cheap, small, simple, and gets the job done.
