Installed this IR extender at my mom's house. She has a closed cabinet under the TV with stereo, Blu-ray player and cable TV. She used to have to open closet doors and leave them open if she wanted to look at something. This IR extender was very easy to install and allowed her to keep the doors closed. The installation took me maybe 2 minutes. All I had to do was connect the transmitter and receiver ports to the HDMI adapters. They run between the TV and stereo using the existing HDMI cable at each end. Position the receiver's small eyelet where the remote control will be lifted. I attached it to the edge of the TV. The other went to the closet, where it sends a signal to all the components. Nothing needs to be programmed. It just works. It took several attempts to get the transmitter in the right place so that all 3 components could see it. However, once I have it, everything works perfectly. Installed within a month with no problems. Very satisfied.
