Very small in the hand, ideal for infants or young children just getting used to brushing their teeth. Super soft silicone bristles in two different sizes fit almost any small child. This is a non-electric (no vibration) toothbrush, only manual. This brand offers the same U-shaped toothbrush but with a vibration that works even better, and you can turn a gentle vibration into a sonic vibration (which takes younger kids a little longer to get used to, my granddaughter has hit really well with low vibration). Version with vibration, and now I use sound). For me they don't clean very well and I use a standard bristle toothbrush to make sure all particles are removed. This kids version is very soft so don't worry about damaging teeth or gums but it really doesn't clean well, it's just a learning tool - IMO but kids really love them and look forward to cleaning their teeth clean and help develop the habit and it's great! You can decide how well it works, and you can add any additional brushes you deem necessary (like I did).
