This alarm clock has many features that are quite intuitive to set up and use: clock (with 12 or 24 hour display) dimmable projection (adjustable angle and 3 brightness levels) works best from 2 to 10 feet, so ideal for the ceiling 2 alarm clocks (for 2 people, one for the week and one for the weekend) 3 entries: music, birds, waves plus horn and radio, 5 options in Total. The first 4 have 3 volume levels, the radio has a rotary control to adjust the volume. The radio can work independently of the alarm clock. It scans and programs up to 30 channels that can be selected by number. Includes USB-C cable and USB power adapter. Has a USB port on the side to have a port on the bedside table. I slowly charged my phone (normal USB port: 500mA), which is convenient, but I will continue to use a separate USB adapter to charge my phone. The conversation is tiny and the audio is ok but not great. Everything will be fine if you weren't expecting Bose sound. The VHF antenna is a wire coming from the back. He will be able to select stations much better than those where the antenna is in the device. There's no button for daylight saving time, but when setting the time it's hours +/- and then minutes +/- so still very quick to set up. Overall good value.
