GOOD SMALL PORTABLE TV

This TV is perfect for my needs. I was working from home and wanted a small TV on my desk. I mainly use it in conjunction with a ROKU box. When I connected it to ROKU for the first time, I received an error message that all devices connected to ROKU must have a certain security level. When I bought this TV, I saw several complaints from other small TV buyers who had the same problem. Apparently it wasn't a problem with the device or its security level, because I unplugged the HDMI cable, unplugged the ROKU, waited a few minutes, plugged everything back in, and restarted the ROKU. Now it works great. My guess is that the ROKU box just took care of switching from one TV to another and saw that as some kind of problem. Anyone expecting an HD TV at this price will probably be disappointed, but I find the picture quality very acceptable. The color is pretty good. Under certain lighting conditions in the video you are watching, mostly high contrast between different parts of the screen or strong backlighting in the video itself, you may notice a very slight flickering. There's almost no ghosting, as you might see if you're moving fast on larger, inexpensive TVs. The sound quality is very good for the size of the case and the small dimensions of the internal speakers. Maybe a bit harsh and with a bit of distortion at high levels, but you have to put in a real effort to distort it. The volume is impressive. I haven't played much with the small external OTA antenna because I've been using this TV for streaming, so I can't say much about how good the receiver and antenna are. The IR remote feels a bit cheap but works well and gives you access to all of the TV's functions. As mentioned, you have to point it directly at the receiver on set for it to do anything. The nice thing about the TV is that you can also access all the functions using the push button switches built into the side, which many TV manufacturers have abandoned and causes a lot of annoyance if you can't use the remote control for some reason (dead batteries, lost, worn out) . It comes with a decent suction cup mount which I don't use when it's on my desk. The built-in stand is adequate, but if you pick the TV up or try to move it backwards, it can lean against the back of the TV. You have to put your finger in it when you move the TV, otherwise it could tip over on you. Overall I rated it 4 stars. It's nice and offers a decent viewing experience, but it's not impressive. It's pretty much what I expected, maybe a little better, and it does a great job of what I intended. Comparing the price with full size "regular" TVs, I think it might be a bit high. For $75 this would be a huge deal. For 100โ‚ฌ it would be nice. For the $125 I paid, it's competitive with other similarly sized TVs, being a little cheaper than some and a little more expensive than almost all others.
