I bought the monitor because I've been a laptop gamer throughout my gaming career. I saw that this monitor had good reviews so I checked it out and decided to buy it. First, it was very easy to assemble the monitor and connect it to my laptop! It was very quick and easy. This monitor actually boosts my FPS compared to when I was just playing on my laptop. I can also run the same number of frames per second at 2560x1440 (2k) versus 1920x1080 (1080p). The monitor runs smoothly in games and in everyday life. The 0.5ms response time is very fast and smooth. There is virtually no lag when I press keys on my keyboard while typing and moving around in-game. The 170Hz response time and vivid colors make the game so much better compared to my laptop. It's a really big difference that makes my gaming experience so much more enjoyable. This monitor has many settings. There's a lot more than I need, but it's good that there are more options. I don't know if it's just me, but I can set my resolution to 4K when 2K upscaling is advertised. I think that's a good bonus for me.
