Synthetic horsehair knot, better than I expected
I bought the Olivina for Men shaving brush because I thought it would go well with my Merkur Future razor. The hand is amazing but the badger knot that came with it was just a knot. The hair sucked and it was like a blob of glue which was just gross. I got frustrated and pulled it out. I bought a synthetic horsehair bun to try. It has now become one of my favorite brushes. I had to take a dremel and drill out the handle a bit so the knot would fit better and then pour epoxy over it. As I said, he's now moved from the back of the office to the front row.
