Ideal for quilting and embroidery

They work better than traditional thimbles because they fit snugly but are not too tight. They don't chafe my noble first knuckles, but are better suited for thicker fabrics. The needle doesn't slip, but it doesn't get too tight to release easily like rubber thimbles. They last a long time and are more comfortable than metal or rubber ones. I also keep thinking that they will come in handy for other things like catching roses, but I haven't tried them for other things yet. My favorite thimbles!
