When it came time to replace the original strap on my classic Movado museum watch, I naturally wanted something to match its minimalist elegance. I also loved the deployment clasp on one of my other watches and wanted something similar for the Movado but wasn't sure it was worth a big investment if it didn't match the aesthetic so I was happy to find it as a handy entry point Point. When it arrived I was dying to put it on my watch and I was pleased that the packaging was very well thought out with the extra spring bars (pins) and tool set in thoughtful, eco-friendly packaging. The fit was perfect - the original strap was stamped "21" meaning it was 21mm, but it's not a regular size so I ordered 20mm and hoped for the best. In fact, it fits surprisingly perfectly, fitting right between the ears! The best and most pleasant surprise was when I put it on for the first time. At this price I was NOT expecting the buckle to have a side push, more of a simple latch. This is a solid locking mechanism that requires you to push on the sides of the buckle to release the clasp compared to the easier (cheaper) push/pull version I was expecting. In addition, the entire strap is actually made of beautiful calfskin, a little thicker and of higher quality. than I expected based on the price. I couldn't be happier and expect the skin to soften and conform to the shape of my wrist after the first wear. If you're looking to upgrade your watch strap or replace it with something simple but distinctive, you'll find your answer here. I can buy a few more for other watches and change them for different occasions.
