This desk was such a bad investment of money, time, and effort. The packaging was okay, I experienced maybe one very tiny small chip but otherwise it was good. Assembling it became a nightmare however, and it was by far the worst experience I have ever had building (I've built a lot in my day). Here's some reasons why it was so unpleasant:- Not all the holes aligned well. Hand screwing them in were impossible, and even using a drill I could not get the screws to drill in straight. Messing up once meant you had a malfunctioning screw and a messed up piece.- The instructions screwed you over. There is one picture in there where it told you to turn it upside down if you want the short side on the left, and when you flip it over it ended up being short side on the right. Total mess and it required for a restart of assembly.- Some parts didn't fit together. This goes hand in hand with the holes not aligning. One major issue I had was the fact that the desktop holder in the bottom corner, it just didn't fit. The metal and the wood holes were in two different galaxies and just was a disappointment.- The cheap particle board was prone to scratches and was not sturdy. The entire structure was not sturdy and strong, unlike how it was advertised. It wobbles and you probably couldn't sit a toddler on any side of the desk.Overall, the assembly and final product wasn't worth the price. I do not recommend this to anyone looking to get their student, child, brother, sister, husband, wife, or friend a desk. Use your money to find a different high quality desk that's easy to assemble and something that won't break in two months.
