What I like best about this device is that I can remove my phone by lifting it instead of pulling it out of the vent. I like magnetic devices except for the problem that pulling the phone out of the opening causes the holder to be pulled out of the opening and the phone tilts. With this device I can place my phone where I want and at the angle I like and it stays there. It's reliable, doesn't wobble or vibrate. I have a Note 9. I'm pretty sure it fits perfectly without the case. Despite having a modest body (1/2 inch down), the bottom of the phone doesn't slide easily into the grips. Fortunately, however, the edges of the handles fit into notches on the bottom. Affairs.
