It saved our sleep. When my son was only about 4 months old, he learned to roll from his back to his stomach. He did this in his sleep all the time, but he hadn't yet learned to roll from his stomach to his back to get out of it. He rolled onto his stomach, got stuck and screamed. We would have to walk every 20 minutes to turn it over. It was a nightmare. I honestly was afraid to use them because they say safe sleep in a crib means nothing. But we tried them after testing and sleep testing them first and they were great. The worst that can happen is that a side goes uncut, which may have happened twice in the months we've been using it. They work great. They prevent him from rolling, but he can still wobble and move. The only thing that is a little annoying is that the reels get noisy after some use. So if we put him to bed while he's already asleep, sometimes he'll be woken up.
