I chose wired cameras as they are not vulnerable to cyber threats. However, the DVR has an Ethernet connection and there is an app that you can use to monitor the system. I will continue to investigate the cyber vulnerabilities of this system to ensure it does not sell any information or footage to any third party. The only thing I have is that the motion detection is pretty sensitive even on the lowest sensitivity setting. A bug flies in front of him and I get a notification. I've also noticed that if a car drives fast enough in front of my house, I still get a motion detection notification even though I've removed that area from my camera's detection grid. For the money I can't complain. Better than paying $40 ADT a month to tell me my dog set off the alarm. Get ready for a hard day of installation in the attic or basement, this is the price you pay for wired systems.
