The first time I used it, I put the cassette in the way the cable came out. Hiss, feedback, horrible noises. It's a smart thing; They are well designed. There is a channel at the top of the cassette that allows you to change the direction of the cable exit. After changing the cable so it was accessible from the other end, I flipped the cartridge over, put it in the deck and all was good. Now it sounds better than others before. Neither of these adapter types sound fantastic. This is a good choice for not a lot of money.
