I think these shoes are not bad but a few small modifications could have made them a lot better. Size 7.5 blue for my 2.5 year old daughter. Unlike many others, mine didn't have a strong plastic smell. They don't smell at all. The biggest issue I had with them was the very cheap metal buckles. It's so thin and malleable that you can literally break it in half with your bare hands. Actually I did. Seriously, it's only slightly thicker and stronger than foil wrapped in foil. I ended up removing the buckles entirely and replacing them with some of these buttoned things. If the manufacturer wants to keep the buckles, use a more durable and high-quality material. . Otherwise it will break after a few uses. It would be even better if they were replaced with Velcro or something similar. Next comes the fitting. They are ok but for a toddler it would be nice if they were a bit wider. My daughter can put on her own shoes but these are a bit difficult for her. The fingers are a bit narrow. I think it's normal, but most toddler shoes I've seen are far from narrow. Usually they are wide and roomy. Overall my 2 year old loves them. Just be prepared to replace the crappy buckles yourself with something like velcro or buttons.
