Easy to program, just RT*M!

I chose this extension with a timer to control a grow light that I use when trying to save cat grass and mint. Living in New England, there is very little sunlight, and even less gets into my home. Based on reviews, the mechanical timer extension cords had noise issues (e.g. constant ticking), while the main issue with this extension cord was that it was "difficult to program". It seemed like the lesser of two evils, so I braced myself for a long fight and went for it. It arrived and I plugged it in to charge the internal battery as suggested in the instructions. The digital display got brighter while charging - some also point out that the display is dim and difficult to read. Just do what the guide suggests and plug it in for 30+ minutes when it arrives. Then it's time for programming. I unplugged the extension cord (the display stays bright) and started following the steps in the manual, just waiting for it to get difficult or confusing. Then I finished programming, plugged it back in and plugged in my grow light. It works great. My suggestion for those having difficulties with programming is to read the manual (RT*M). If you're still not getting one and live in New England, I'd love to come and do it for you!
