Non-intuitive programming

I like this brand, but changing and installing programs on this device is not an easy task. I'm not clear on what all this means and the guide wasn't the most helpful. This company's exit timer, on the other hand, is very straight forward and a good product.

Pros
  • New to my collection

Died after a short time

Unfortunately I was satisfied until I was disappointed. I programmed this extension for my indoor grow lamps. It worked for a couple of weeks, then the timer started going on and off at odd times, and then it just stopped working. Neither the temporary side nor the plain old extension cord will work now. The timer is still programmed, but nothing works. I will try something else.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Great for seed starters

I bought this product when I am starting to seed and needed a way to keep my heat mats on all the time but have the lights on with a timer. It worked wonderfully! I've been using it for a month now, no problems and my plants are doing fine! I have another one on the way as I need to set up a second table which I still need grow lights for and I have had no hesitation in choosing this brand again.

Pros
  • Like everything before
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product

Aquarium Timer/Surge Protector

I love this thing. There are 3 aquariums (lights, fans, heaters, filters) hooked up to this thing. Easy to program. I like that the manual on button is easy to press and when you turn off the manual off button, it automatically switches to auto mode. my other, you must hit twice. Turn the car off and back on once and it's under the closet and I can't see if the car is activated without crawling over there with a flashlight. this one is better.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Great Price

Difficult to set up but otherwise good value for money.

Selects many checkboxes for me; Flat plugs, sockets with a timer, sockets without a timer. And once I figured it out, it works fine, no problem. However, the instructions are poorly written, there are 20 (!) timers that you need to press the buttons and at the end you have to turn on the timer, which is not clear in the instructions. The manual is more about how to set the correct date and time (with Daylight Saving Time) than how to properly program and get started. When it comes to something…

  • Don't waste too much time

Very poor instructions but can be programmed

The most important thing to remember when programming this (follow the guide step by step) is that the ON/OFF BUTTON (not the red on /off all the way) is actually an OVERRIDE switch. If you press the button while "Off" is on the display, the timer bank will turn on, even if you are in the timer area to turn off a bank. So after programming your desired time and returning to the main display, look for a tiny on or off display. If it is on, turn it off (Power button) and then press the Auto…

Pros
  • Great for a small house
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

All timers in one schedule

Probably my fault but I bought this timer for my bearded dragon tank. I need 3 sockets with different timers and 1 permanent. Little did I know that all the sockets would have to be set to the same time every day/night, making it totally inefficient for my needs. My fluorescent light needs to be on 12-14 hours every day, and the fluorescent light needs to be on when the fluorescent light is turned off. I also have a UB lamp that needs separate time. At the moment all three lights are on for me…

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Some flaws

Easy to program, just RT*M!

I chose this extension with a timer to control a grow light that I use when trying to save cat grass and mint. Living in New England, there is very little sunlight, and even less gets into my home. Based on reviews, the mechanical timer extension cords had noise issues (e.g. constant ticking), while the main issue with this extension cord was that it was "difficult to program". It seemed like the lesser of two evils, so I braced myself for a long fight and went for it. It arrived and I plugged…

  • Fits Many
