I bought this EEPROM programmer for various microcontroller and microprocessor projects. It works as described and can program a surprising number of different EEPROM devices. I've used it to program 8K parallel and serial EEPROMs, as well as in-circuit EEPROM programming on an ATmega328P microcontroller. I'm not using the included Windows software utility, I'm using the open source "minipro" utility. This works well and offers a much more user-friendly command line interface and runs on Mac OS and Linux. I also successfully updated the firmware on the EEPROM programmer following the instructions that came with the minipro.
