Recording YouTube videos on a green screen with the front camera of my iPhone 7 Plus. Unless you're about a foot away from the microphone and standing directly in front of it, it's not all that different from the one built into the phone. And since I can't record my nostrils, I put the mic on a tripod and placed it in front of me. Once you get close, the mic is impressive! It's not Rode or Shure, but there's a noticeable difference with the built-in iP7p. A NOTICE. You MUST connect the microphone to the dongle, then connect the dongle to the phone and make sure it's fully inserted (you can feel it). If you plug in the dongle first and then the microphone, it probably won't work. The light is very bright. Thank God it's regulated. If you make that your only light source and shoot video indoors with no ambient light, you'll end up with hot spots on your face. A NOTICE. Make sure the switch is off before inserting the batteries! If you install bats while the switch is on, the light will not turn on. Understand yourself. A tripod stand is better for selfies than a tripod, but not bad enough to warrant a negative review. It's durable and holds up well. Four stars not for functionality but because most people would have returned it as not working had they not known about the light battery trick and the "Street" dongle mic.
