Review on 💡 Cooler Master Silent Pro M 850W 80 PLUS Bronze Modular Power Supply (RS850-AMBAJ3-US) by Christopher Gulledge

My system works fine with this PSU (850W version). Here is a list of pros and cons about it. Pros: The power rating of this PSU is accurate, which means it actually delivers as much power as advertised. It stays very cold and calm. In fact, it stays so quiet that I had to check several times to see if the fan was spinning (and yes, it worked every time). It has many power connectors as well as different connectors for different wires. For example, one of the SATA cables has only 2 connectors, the second has 3 connectors, and the third has 4 connectors. Use this feature judiciously to ensure the best chassis cable routing. shows that it is made of good parts. In my experience, the heavier the power supply, the better the quality. The 8-pin +12V CPU connector (it has 2 of them, 16 pins total) is long enough to go from the bottom of my Cooler Master Elite 430 case to the top of the motherboard and the cable goes around that Leading the motherboard doesn't get in the way. Kohn's cool down was NOT what I expected. The site shows some MOSFET and diode finger coolers, but the PSU coolers I received are standard vertical fins. I hope he can stay cool enough with them. The size is different than stated. Revain said the PSU is only 5.5 inches long (which is exactly what I wanted) but the PSU is actually 6.5 inches long. If you have the same case as me, you know how much it hurts There is a 120mm fan near the power supply on the bottom of the case. I had to remove this because the PSU length was wrong. This PSU's cables were clearly not intended to be routed from below. The SATA cable I have to my DVD drive and external hard drive slot had to be twisted to actually fit. The wires are twisted, which spoils the aesthetics of the computer. Neutral - all cables are very long, so cable routing is pretty damn impossible in a small case. - Rubber anti-vibration mounts are a bit tricky. To hold them in place I had to insert small rubber pins into the holes on the PSU case. Even after that, some of them reappeared and forced me to do it over and over again.
