Review on ๐Ÿชข Ultra-Durable 1000 Foot Black Parachute Cord Paracord: Type III Military Specification 550 by Richard Mangum

Revainrating 5 out of 5

This is not Mil Spec, comes on a low quality cardboard spool and is not continuous.

This is not a standard specification, although it is suitable for general use. The diameter is over a mil and the inner strands are 7 double instead of triple, they also appear to be polyester rather than nylon. I don't use paracord that often, so it took me a while to figure out the following two things: The spool is horribly cheap cardboard that doesn't stand up to moisture, even just being in a NYC garage was too tough for it up to 2 years, it just fell apart and the sides fell off immediately. The sides were also so thin that they could fall off if you tried to unwind the cable. In addition to the quality of the reel, when I finished my 1000ft reel I found 3 connectors and 4 lengths of cable. If I wanted 4 x 250ft lines I would buy (4) x 250ft lines. If someone buys a 1000 foot spool, I expect 1000 continuous feet or line, not 4 lengths taped together. If it had been written beforehand I would never have bought from it.
