Great shoes, I've had Sperry for over 25 years. I would say they are a little lighter than the older pair I had a few years ago, similar style/sole...the sole seems to be a lighter material...let's see how they hold up. Like all of my Sperry shoes, I wet them as I wore them and wore them until dry...like I'd worn them for years. Very convenient. Did some reviewers mention that the leather upper doesn't retain color? I agree that the uppers can be handled differently than other pairs I've had, they still feel like all leather uppers. Again, time will tell and I'll post an update. Overall happy with my purchase.
