Review on πŸ“» Sony CFD-S300 CD Radio Cassette Recorder Boombox: A Stylish Silver Audio Companion by Michael Pickering

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great compact CD/cassette system!

I purchased this system in December 2004 from Wal-Mart. It is very handy and fits perfectly on the folding table I have in my room. It's fully portable and unlike other systems that are best suited to a bookshelf or not being carried around very often. The sound quality of the CD is also excellent. You can play commercially available CDs and CDs recorded by stand-alone recording decks or recorders on your PC. When not in use, I keep it in the original box. Features of this system: 10 radio or CD direct access keys and a small remote control that can be used for CDs or radio. I don't listen to cassettes very often with this system, but it works pretty well. I've even tried recording from CD to cassette a couple of times. Playback quality on a pre-recorded tape (recorded on this system) is decent; You can hear the music, but there is a SMALL sound distortion when playing the music you just taped. But that doesn't mean that this system is complete nonsense. It's still pretty nice. The remote control allows you to control your CD player or radio without touching the system buttons. You can jump directly to a track on a CD (or radio station) by pressing one of the number buttons. This system also features omni-directional convex speakers that project sound over a larger area, unlike most other speakers that only project sound over a limited area. My system still works pretty well, so I'm not complaining.
