I may not have read carefully enough when purchasing and was under the impression that this is one of those sonic whistles that the human ear can't hear. On the contrary, on the settings we have it's actually a bit annoying and very noisy, but for our "repurposed" use it's enough for it to get dogs' attention. If you're looking for something that will reduce barking or jumping, this may not be what you're looking for, at least in my experience. It took a bit of tweaking to find the right tone.
