Wood warps despite careful hand washing and drying. The lid no longer fits the rim of the carafe and must be held firmly to prevent it from slipping off the carafe. Even if you hold the lid, your coffee will slosh over the edges. I would like to hear how the manufacturer justifies this product disaster. Previous rating: Here you can choose between 1 and 2 stars. I gave an extra star because the end product - the coffee - is pretty good. The mesh on the mesh is thin enough to filter out the thick, and the plunger fits snugly against the walls of the jar. BUT. The tree technique is terrible. It's immediately beautiful enough that I took it upon myself to hand wash and dry the wood to preserve the finish and overall look. But the wood has deformed after 2 uses and is now completely unusable as a lid, as the coffee can easily spill out from all sides around the spout. I continue to use abs because they're the only size I have. As soon as I can research and buy a new one, it goes into the cart.
