This press is amazing and works as it should.

This press is amazing and works as it should! With the coffee at the bottom of the press, it makes enough for two full 8-ounce coffees.

Pros
  • Large selection
Cons
  • Empty

Very small but beautiful

I bought the 300ml version of this coffee maker and it only fills my monster coffee mug half full. But it is really beautiful and very high quality. I would recommend the 600ml version for most people.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Hard to say

The spout broke after a short use

Looks nice and works but the spout broke after a short use. It will probably break completely soon. The price of this one is too high to break so easily. We never rubbed it or bumped it into anything, it just accidentally jumped. The other Hario glass I've used was much stronger, washed, beaten and abused and looks just as good as the day I bought it. Maybe I got a defective one.

Pros
  • special offer
Cons
  • old

Makes great coffee and a work of art

I have a wide range of coffee brewing systems including other French Press (FPS). I make one cup at a time (300ml) which is why I bought this press. I can't say it's better than other FPS's I've used, but it looks the best and is at least on par in terms of quality. The metal stand is well made and stays on the glass without coming loose. The forest is beautiful. Glass appears brittle and breaks easily; and unless the press is on a stable/flat surface it will fall off, which has happened a…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

This Hario French Press has a 600ml capacity (note that the 'coffee cup' is smaller than a standard cup). The strainer is thinner than cheaper counterparts, preventing small coffee grounds from getting into the cup. On other presses, the screen often has sharp edges with metal wires protruding, making washing difficult. The Hario mesh is smoother around the edges. I love the design of this press. Wood details, as well as smooth metal, set it apart from many others. After a few washes, however…

Pros
  • Like everything before

Modified Review: Completely useless and very disappointing.

Wood warps despite careful hand washing and drying. The lid no longer fits the rim of the carafe and must be held firmly to prevent it from slipping off the carafe. Even if you hold the lid, your coffee will slosh over the edges. I would like to hear how the manufacturer justifies this product disaster. Previous rating: Here you can choose between 1 and 2 stars. I gave an extra star because the end product - the coffee - is pretty good. The mesh on the mesh is thin enough to filter out the…

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Bad set
