Review on Enhanced Landscape Lighting: Dimmable Shorter Halogen Equivalent Solution by David Stewart
I thought this bulb would work. I was fooling around.
My lamp uses the halogen lamp shown on the left (see image for overview). I accidentally thought I could use this LED light bulb pictured on the right. As you can see, the teeth are arranged differently. These will not work at all. Guilty. Bottom line, the LED is a G4 bulb and the halogen is a G8 bulb. be careful as me That's my advice to you.
