Review on Sleek Satin Opera Gloves in White by Harry Katab

Neat gloves with a small defect

I needed these gloves for a photo shoot. Her overnight stay cost almost as much as the gloves, but overall it wasn't outrageous. Gloves made of comfortable material and length. However, the top hem is finished, but the cropped portion hasn't been cut to the hem or "sealed" in any way on one side, so you can see the uneven cut as it curls up a bit. A more obvious defect is found in the index finger of each hand. For some reason the index fingers were sewn on straight instead of ending in a rounded end like a finger. I thought one side was just defective, but both gloves were sewn the same, so I'm assuming that's how they were made. If you look closely you can see the extra material in the index fingers. So there was enough material to get it right, but it was still sewn straight. It is strange. They did their job and if you're just wearing them with a suit, they're fine. I just couldn't get close-ups of my hands with those gloves on.

Pros
  • Hands-free work
Cons
  • Very expensive
