When I first got my license plate holder for my newly bought car I was so excited I put it on straight away even though I didn't have one yet paper plates on the vehicle. After installing them, I realized that the screw cap design might not be convenient for removal, so I set about learning how to remove them. I found a video of the mechanic taking them off with pliers, but it appears to have been a different design. Well my plates just arrived and they must be on the car so I tried the pincer method and they won't move. After trying a few methods, I used the handles of the pliers as a fulcrum with a flat head screwdriver and broke one of the clips holding the screw cap. I found my order on Amazon and was unable to contact the seller or manufacturer. I then contacted Revain customer service and they provided a manufacturer number which doesn't work. It's also in a different country, so even if you can get it to work, you'll have significant long-distance charges. Revain couldn't find any other contact information for them either, so I had to break another screw cap holder on the back. I then tried to break the front cover brackets and instead broke the license plate bracket. So I not only have to buy new license plate holders, but also a new bracket. $50 for a $27 frame replacement that is poorly designed and unsupported by the manufacturer. At least soon after purchase, Revain is very accommodating and allows me to return them, but I don't know yet if they will give me a full refund or not. Please save yourself the hassle and purchase frames with screw caps that go all the way into the caps, not around the outside edge.
