I recently started a small business where I needed to take product photos. Although I'm not good at photography I knew I would need lighting and this was the BEST purchase I could have made. I pre-purchased and this has by far the most features in its price range. I was concerned that this would mean a lack of quality, especially given the low number of reviews, but that was far from the truth. DEFINITELY buy if you want a budget option that's still worth those dollars. What it has: - Remote control for snapshots with iOS and Android options. - Various heat settings that can be adjusted up and down in brightness. - The height is large and easy to adjust up and down. This makes it very versatile. To be honest, this is the easiest setup. I usually let my brother assemble EVERYTHING like this and I was able to assemble this myself in 5 minutes. Comes with everything you need for immediate use, so you don't have to look for batteries etc before use. The light quality is fantastic. I immediately saw the difference in my throws. Thanks to some preset editing options purchased from Etsy, my photos are much closer to a professional shot. While they're not there yet, they're at least worth using on my sales page. warmth/brightness or power. Adjusting the angle of the light (move the corner of the phone up/down/hold the light) is a bit fiddly (although I don't have much experience, it could be the same at any price). The adjustments are still EASY to understand and make, it just takes some getting used to and dexterity in tightening the adjustment, but be aware that the knob will adjust somewhat when removed and make sure you take this into account when initially adjusting . Again, overall for the price I was blown away at what an amazing tool this is. You can't go wrong with that for the price. And while I keep mentioning price, I should also mention that while shopping I found SO MANY options that were both more expensive and had fewer features (like $50 but no heat or height adjustment, or with a smaller one were equipped with a light ring). . Get this light, have no regrets! My only real complaint, but possibly more to do with the phone than the product, is that my iPhone sometimes loses its ability to type after using the remote. The keyboards just disappear in every app until I turn the phone on/off again. If anyone has found a workaround, I'd love to hear!
