Review on πŸ”Œ AlphaWorks Extension: Revolutionizing with Waterproof Automatic Technology by Mark Adams

For a smart garage if you're a geek, a great accessory is

To be honest I rarely use it for anything other than auto retraction. I loved that I can hook this up to Alexa, turn it on and off, and do whatever else to control it with the remote, but as it turns out I usually unplug it to give myself power for the tool, and then press the auto retract button. That's all. There is probably a spring loaded block that does what I usually use it for. it's just me I see value in remotely controlling the lights for a garden party or when you need to remotely turn on and control appliances and tools. The average DIYer who does projects at home doesn't need this, however, but if you have regular backyard meetings or are an artist who needs wires to power lights or effects, you can use these to power them up and expand your control. . . achieve by feeding them with this string. You might even consider connecting a garage door opener to it to cut power to your opener when you're away from home to reduce accidental or malicious remote activation by others. You can probably think of many uses for a coil like this, including party lights or work lights. I just don't do much of it. I extended the cord to start my power tools and then used the auto retract. It definitely makes the process easier than winding the cord by hand, and you don't have to fiddle with the cord holding the extra weight that comes with it. The auto retract works quickly and saves you from the weird twists and turns that occur when attempting to manually wind/reel the cable. The coil works great just standing on the floor, but the fact that you can mount it on a wall or ceiling in your shop or garage is a good thing. You don't need smart features for regular shopping, but this one has it all. Everything works and it's cool. I just have to tell you that all these smart features aren't really used unless you look at it and automatically know that this is exactly what you need for this project. Then try to justify the extra frills and cost of the reel. as it becomes very difficult. You can find an auto reel without all of that for a lot less money. If you have a specific need for a portable or temporary smart switch for outdoor or in-store use, then maybe check this out. It's a good heavy machine that does what it's supposed to do. I'm just inclined to think you won't use fancy stuff. Check your wallet and list of your actual needs and decide from there.
