For mounting on round pole/post/post. The curved part of the grip is covered with foam for a good grip on the handlebar and fits securely when you screw in the adjustment clip. Constructed from high quality materials including a (heavy duty) steel angle at the bottom as a clamp base. The top is made of durable plastic with a raised rim and a large drink holder for a glass of glass. Cons: The weight is heavy for camping since I intend to use it; and when used on a bar that is not perpendicular to the floor, like the crossbar on my folding chair, the table tilts slightly when tightened; not quite flat. This does not affect use of the cup holder or placing the phone on the table, but some items may slip or be knocked over. The raised edge helps with this. I don't mind and will continue to use it to this day but deducted a star for lack of pumpability and weight. Basically satisfied.
