Earlier on Revain I spoke positively about CF cards with consistently higher standards for storage capacity and write performance. This is my current champion. It's expensive, but it allows my 5D Mk2 to download RAW without having to stop the camera and wait for the buffer to clear. Slower cards (133x, 300x) will stop the camera, but I never stopped using one of those 600x cards. A smaller version (e.g. 16GB) offers the same benefits at a lower price, but with RAW in the order of 25MB each, it is necessary to have speed and capacity on the same card. (I previously bought one of the 16GB versions of this card as a "low cost experiment" and it's good for shorter jobs.) I'm giving four stars instead of five due to an occasional issue where the card sometimes ( only sometimes) does not work when first connecting to a computer to download can be detected. This happened with two of these cards using two different firewire readers on three different computers with two different operating systems, and it didn't happen with the 16GB version or any of the other cards, so I think it's more of a card issue , as the "I" thing. It always works after several attempts to disconnect and reconnect, but it makes a person nervous. A bit mysterious, but not one that would compel me to use slower, smaller cards.
