Extreme Pro 32GB CF makes life so much easier!

I mainly use Canon 1Ds Mk3 and shoot fashion studios and shows. 16GB = about 250 RAW+JPEG images. 8GB (Extreme 4) means I use a few SD cards per shot. They simply plug into the SC port on my Toshiba laptop for transmission. For a fashion show with 500-800 frames I would only shoot in JPEG format. When using RAW, the camera will slow down after 4-5 frames in high-speed shooting mode, and you also need to change SD card during shooting. 32GB Extreme Pro has changed the situation. Perfect size and speed for my DSLR

I've always used SanDisk memory cards for my electronics, but the Extreme Pro itself is in a class of its own and well worth the extra investment. I've been using this card for quite some time now and after over 1000 pictures recorded and deleted I have not a single complaint. I am using my SanDisk Extreme Pro memory card in a Canon EOS 7D DSLR. When shooting in RAW+JPEG mode, I can capture up to 25 frames at 8 fps without slowing down. My SanDisk card performed well at air shows in 98 degreeโ€ฆ

Megapixel price and high cycle count

Earlier on Revain I spoke positively about CF cards with consistently higher standards for storage capacity and write performance. This is my current champion. It's expensive, but it allows my 5D Mk2 to download RAW without having to stop the camera and wait for the buffer to clear. Slower cards (133x, 300x) will stop the camera, but I never stopped using one of those 600x cards. A smaller version (e.g. 16GB) offers the same benefits at a lower price, but with RAW in the order of 25MB each, itโ€ฆ

Gross speed and power, almost impossible to read.

I love this card. I hate that as of August 2012 there are VERY few card readers that can handle it. I've tried four already, and it was only through another Revain reviewer that I was able to find out that the card readers were the cause of my problems, not my camera (the new Canon 5d Mark iii). I was able to use this card ONLY when I connected the camera directly to the computer, which of course is a terrible workflow issue, especially for video production. However, I have a Lexar Professional
