I mainly use Canon 1Ds Mk3 and shoot fashion studios and shows. 16GB = about 250 RAW+JPEG images. 8GB (Extreme 4) means I use a few SD cards per shot. They simply plug into the SC port on my Toshiba laptop for transmission. For a fashion show with 500-800 frames I would only shoot in JPEG format. When using RAW, the camera will slow down after 4-5 frames in high-speed shooting mode, and you also need to change SD card during shooting. 32GB Extreme Pro has changed the situation. (1) I can shoot with a card, although I currently need a CF to ExpressCard adapter for charging I don't need to switch CFs (2) I can do catwalks in RAW - 2 seconds at 5/sec - no problem with that The speed of Extreme Pro. I'm also looking forward to using this card (and I'll be buying a few more - maybe 64GB) in my 1Ds Mk4 when I upgrade later this year (it has even higher write speed requirements but is UDMA 6). Great product - just hope the price cuts continue to make 64GB more affordable.
