Revainrating 2 out of 5

Meh, everything is fine. Philips is a good brand, good price.

I needed this because most power taps with surge protection don't have enough space for 3-5 transformers. I need to connect more and more. (Note to Revain industrial designers: make the warts smaller on the wall or at the end of a regular string). If the device flies out of the brown and saves your hardware, it's a dead dog. Not reset. I have a couple of identical 1990's Kensingtons and only one of them has had this happen (living in a crappy Connecticut energy company is the worst thing in the US!), but Kensington will send you a new one! (Well, it did a few years ago.) The old Kensington still works, too, but ONLY as an extension cord. There is no protection. Which is great for a basement desktop, for non-electronic things. I also went with this because it's from Philips, I have two other old strips from them and they worked well and it's a design that would look nice under a living room table. No ugly black overloaded junk, but plain, white, flat.
