This product was sold to me as a USB-C docking station. Even my usual trusty CNet included it in their list of USB docking stations as a good and affordable option. It turns out it's just a hub and I found out too late. It's fine considering I have a 2-in-1 that only has a USB-C port and I can plug something in and it works, but HDMI is a scam as it doesn't have sound sends to whatever you plug into that port, and it won't keep your device awake. Trying to use it to watch archive.org on my TV was a tragedy as the audio was still coming out of my device's crappy speakers and kept falling asleep throughout the movie. I could do the same better with the adapter that came with my 5 year old phone and $5 USB hub. Edit: They reached out and asked for pictures of the setup so they can offer suggestions which I didn't give them. They also offered to swap out the hub, which I again declined. However, I accepted their refund.
