later I actually bought this tool to remove the bottom edge of my 3D prints. The bottom layer on the 3D printed object "shrinks" more than the top layers. This can create a sudo sharp edge. In the past I have attempted to trim this edge off with a utility knife (which was very dangerous). I heard that this type of tool can remove the edge more easily, so I ordered one. That works great! Much safer than a sharp knife. Great metal handle and good blades. I can't comment on its performance on metal, but it works great on plastic 3D prints!
