Really wanted to like this product but ended up having too many problems. The packaging is great and well thought out. The device itself is beautiful to look at, with walnut wood and black steel accents. Build quality seems solid but not exceptional, especially for the price. Audio quality is solid again, but my comparably sized AudioEngine A2s just sound better at half the price in every way. The UI is TERRIBLE. I have an engineering degree, but it took me hours to figure out how to use this thing. In the age of Apple's plug-and-play simplicity, that's just not acceptable. A device with a joystick seems fragile and prone to damage. The Bluetooth connection was reliable. I really liked being able to take a nap just by touching the front panel. FM reception was terrible but I live in a densely populated city. The worst thing is that there is no DAB in the States and it is not mentioned in the description. Why not add HD radio too? Lots of great professional reviews on it and I was looking for a great sounding alarm clock but unfortunately this one comes back.
