Doesn't protect glass from breaking

I have an iPhone X from 2017 and there is no scratch. I ordered this to replace my cracked screen (the phone wasn't cracked, just the screen protector). Within 24 hours I dropped my phone on a wooden floor and the iPhone screen was completely shattered due to this screen. This screen protector did not protect my phone
