Our Perkins 4-236's oil filter was horizontally mounted so when removing the old filter it was a holey mess. And if you want to prime the filter with fresh oil, forget it. The filter is now mounted vertically and is much easier to access. Great mod for a cleaner bilge and cleaner oil change.
