Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works well on thin/lightweight fabrics in straight lines only. Not for curves.

This sewing foot is good for thin/light fabrics just runs straight . It cannot follow a curve or accommodate thicker/medium/heavy fabrics. You insert the fastener into the U-shaped foot and then place the fabric edge to be cut in the central groove like a sandwich filling. Once the three layers of fabric are attached, lower the sewing foot onto the feed dogs and your teeth should pull the entire sandwich forward as you sew. This only worked for me on straight edges. The leg could not follow a curve or turn a corner. This would be good for edging scarves, placemats, tablecloths, and other rectangular items, but not very practical for most clothing items.

Pros
  • Simple fabric piping (width adjustable from 5mm to 20mm in one direction) You can pre-sew the good side of the pocket perfectly into the fabric, the piping is ready
Cons
  • Expensive
